Default beg skill

how does it work exactly? is it similar to rogue pickpocket where you can get minor items etc or is it entirely worthless?

Begging from guards is an efficient method for meleers to gate back to their bindpoint.

From what little I've fiddled with it along with what I've read, it's just tiny amounts of coin. Other than being bored and just wanting to skill something up, it doesn't seem to be worth messing with.

Here you might get 9 copper, a rusty dagger, or patchwork armour etc.

I've been skilling my beg skill up on random monsters that i attack.. it can be dangerous to beg from guards because they pwn you sometimes..

but if you're gonna kill a monster anyways.. who cares if it gets pissed and attacks..

I usually beg a few copper.. my best so far was a platinum off a guard lol
