I dont understand what the crucial link is suppose to show me. A company that has never focused on sandforce controller now is getting error threads on there forums?

Go to OCZ/Corsair/Patriot etc etc, you'll see that exact same thread more than once, dated early 2010.

Hmm... I listed a few options in my price range. It looks like maybe the Mushkin Enhanced Chronos is the best choice?

Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 120gb SandForce 2281 184.99

The OCZ drives will always be cheaper than competing SF-based drives because OCZ has a sweetheart deal with SandForce, meaning they get a discount and they are able to provide firmware updates sooner than the others. Corsair generally has a very good RMA and customer service, as well as Mushkin.

The Force 3 is equivalent to the Agility 3 drives, which both have async NAND ram. Same exact drives but the OCZ is cheaper because of the sweetheart deal. The Vertex 3 and Corsair GT series are faster than the async counterparts but also a bit more expensive, again, the OCZ vertex 3 being cheaper than the rest. The sync NAND ram counterparts are slightly faster than the others, maybe 20-30MB/s?

The Corsair Performance pro series is Marvell-based, same exact drive as the Plextor drives. If you want the best overall performance from an SSD along with great reliability then buy a Plextor M3S (5 year warranty) or a Samsung 830 series drive. Both of those will fair better with uncompressible data but they're both more expensive.

If I were to buy another drive right now it would be a Plextor M3S. Cheaper than Crucial, quick as hell and great warranty.

Btw, your link for the marvell drive is a 64gig one. If you're buying Marvell go with Crucial or Plextor. For some reason the Corsair drives are priced too damn high.
