You were afk, an audio trigger isn't a player - seems fine to me.

I fail to see how he forfeits a camp by being afk...

If I'm back to kill the mob when it spawns, its my camp. If I am not back in time to kill the PHer or mobs, then I forfeit the camp I agree.

But afking during a really boring camp that is on a hard timer that you know, doesn't forfeit the camp, atleast it shouldn't cause thats fucking retarded. How does you being at the keyboard twiddling your thumbs help at all? It just makes the game more of a grind and less fun to play. If I can get a camp afk for 15minutes troll the internet then be back to kill the next PHer or namer I don't see any issue with this.

AFK camping is frowned upon, but not explicitly against the rules.

afk camping is when you afk and have your pet attack a mob, not being afk between spawns. Tinyscare is absolutely out of line in this instance tonight. I dont understand how behavior like this can survive on a server that is suppose to be full of mature EQ nostalgia players.
oops hey you're right

Other people have already hit the rules quote so..

Maybe set an audio trigger for say too next time? Or check back in the game more often. Yes, long camps suck - and there will be points you have to afk. That's what "/afk POOPING" is for. Hell, even put "/afk I'm alt tabbed out, but I really am here, I have an audio trigger and I should respond to you shortly!" . Then at least the person knows you're really there.

Afk camping sucks, because there are people that are willing sit there for a few hours before a spawn to get it. They are putting in more effort than you to get what they want. Why should they get hosed because you're out watching a movie but your character is there reserving that camp for you.

and it could be I just have a broader definition of what afk camping is to me than you, and as far as eq nostalgia goes, being there camping something forever was eq.
