Do IP exemptions expire?
We haven't played P99 in about 5 years but had an IP exemption then. Recently starting getting the itch to play again. Do we need to apply for an IP exemption again or since it's the same accounts are we good?
Thanks! | ||

Last I heard, they usually do not expire and are removed upon abuse or staff update requests.
To be very direct just try it, making sure you have the same IP. You and another IRL person.

They most likely won’t have the same IP. Most consumer grade ISPs do not provide static IP’s. My guess is that the exemption just allows both accounts to come from the same public IPs.

They do not expire normally. My wife and I have been using the same exemption since P1999 opened over 11 years ago. If yours has been made inactive you'll know in short order.

Mine actually did expire. It may have been because I basically never used it though. I persuaded my sister to play with me a few years back, she tried the game like one time after we got the exemption and then she never played again.
Then I quit for several years and around start of this year I started playing again on Green, with her, we had to reapply for exemption because it was kicking us out. I msged the forum admins about it and they reapplied it pretty quickly I think. We did have the same IP address as before I believe. | ||
