Got gifted a macbook and have no clue how to install p99
GF got me a macbook for school and I thought it would be nice to be able to hop on eq
on the go. But I never got a macbook before! I checked the guide on how to install p99 on a mac but I have absolutely no clue what to do or how to do anything! I am currently using a macbook pro. I was reading this guide: https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=56238 I installed the "package" but other than that I have no clue what to do as this is my first time using a macbook. Anyone here able to walk me through? I would appreciate it so much. Thanks!

Hi Tuna.
Search google for bootcamp install windows. This is the best way. I got EQ to run with the wine thing too but the mouse controls were too messed up for the game to be playable.

I recommend Parallels- easiest way to get up and running P99 on a Mac.

What macOS version are you using? If it's an older macbook with a pre-catalina os version, wineskin is probably the easiest way to set it up.
Also, if it is using the new M1 chip, I don't think bootcamp will work with that so in that case you would probably need to use parallels.

Hit cmd + space & type in 'about this mac'
or Click the apple icon in the top left > click 'about this mac' That should pop up a window and under the 'overview' tab it should tell you the os version and will tell you whether its an intel or m1 chip.

Also, the first thing I have to do on every mac is change the trackpad secondary click to just be a normal right click. Not sure if you would also like that but if so, hit cmd + space type 'trackpad' (or go to system preferences > trackpad) and under 'Point & Click' change 'Secondary Click' to 'Click in bottom right corner'
