An unknown error occurred while trying to join the server

Hello all,

I was in P1999, on the Blue server, when I had to access my Task Manager (for another program). Doing this caused P1999 to lock-up. I had to use "End Task" to clear P1999. I have had to do this before, and previously had no issues getting back in.
Now, however, I am able to get to the Server Select screen, but when I select Blue (or any other server) and click "PLAY EVERQUEST!" I get the following error:
"An unknown error occurred while trying to join the server."

Any suggestions?

try waiting a few seconds before connecting, this happens when people spam connects between accounts

Whenever you switch to something that uses the secure desktop (like task manager) you can just alt+enter twice and the game will respond again.
