Installation Error

I am trying to install Everquest Titanium from disks. At disk 2 it gives me an error message, 'This Device is not ready'.

I have been looking through forums and Youtube videos for more than an hour and can find no answer to what my Laptop needs to be "ready" for installation.


The laptop is from 2015 and in its former life was used by a graphic design/printing press company. Graphic card is modern, sound card is modern, plenty of Ram, no unusual programs on it. Between 2015 and now has only been cleaned of its former life programs and only used for Word Docs and UOForever.

How can I make this Device Ready for EQ?
Help?
