Default Mage pets wont back off anymore?

My mage pets used to back off every time I used the /pet back off command in the past, now they seem to not listen to that command most of the time now?
Did they change something?
Either they listen an move or they just completely ignore me depending on the mob or zone?

Hot buttons don't work while casting a spell. You have to mouse click the macro from your socials tab if you are casting a spell.

If you want your pet to obey a command while casting or using a clicky, you have to type the command:

/pet attack while using BurnOut III clicky
/pet get lost right before you finish summoning another pet

come to mind

If your pet is being hit/ cast on by a mob, you might need to spam your pet back off key to get it to do so
