Default Root or enstill ?

I just hit 20 with my wizard.
Are u guys using root or enstill spell ? (root needs 30 mana while enstill needs 60 mana).

What do u think I should be using since I'm often oom ...

Does enstill spell resists less often than root and usually lasts longer ?

Thanks !

I think it depends on how you are planning to use your root.

Generally I find the basic root is sufficient. All roots are easily broken.

Enstill is better for mobs you don't plan to engage for a longer length of time.

You are better using root at least till you hit 27 where your enstill will be double root duration. Before that, it costs twice the mana of root for poor duration extension with the risk of breaking it early if nuking.

Once you hit 29 and you get your AoE snare spell, you will most likely be quadding when soloing instead of root/nuking, at which point your root will most likely become a crowd control spell for which you will want your highest level root (longest duration).

Root root root. Use it all the time until you get PE, use it sometimes still even after PE (like if you're chain nuking the thing that you rooted so there's no way the root is going to last more than 4-5 ticks anyway), and only stop using it when you get fetter.

Root casts faster, costs less, can be cast inbetween med ticks so even recasting it frequently isn't a drawback really, and as was said, unless you're rooting something that's barely blue (or lower) AND you're not nuking it... enstill won't last half it's duration let alone longer anyways.

I use enstill on my wizard and my shaman. It lasts a lot longer and is a lot harder to break. Often I can enstill a mob and nuke it down. I've used this tactic inside Splitpaw or anywhere indoors.

It is worth moving to PAW area for a wizard with good qeynos faction, those Tanned Hides turn in for like a yellow of XP each from level 22 to like 35.
