Default Un-nerf Gnoll Hunters!

Gnoll hunters are far too rare in Qeynos Hills. Us druids and rangers want our lowbie staves!

If they were nerfed because they were exploitable for cash, just nerf the cash rewards instead.

Thanks and Tunare's blessings upon you all.

Do they not even spawn for like another couple months?

Poor guy.

"Man these guys are RARE!" *cracks another redbull

Hahaha. They are spawning and dropping the staff parts. They're just insanely rare at the moment.

Server first was just obtained (surprised it took so long), so the quest is confirmed working. Grats to Hendrik! Now for me to find one [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It seemed like there were too many on the blue server. I remember the Gnoll Hunters being extremely rare on live back in the day.

On the Firiona Vie server the drop became trivial before I could get the second staff part. I still have the part "A" in the bank on my almost 20 year old Ranger. I never got to wield the Jaggedpine Crook. Gnasher didn't seem to be as common as it is on P99 either.

They spawn all the time. One of them crosses path with a skelly and usually loses.

That big line is the named gnoll, I forget his name, also his spawn point is the bottom of the path by the hut (4) on the map.

Enjoy! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] (also looks like the hunter 20 min spawn was changed to a table instead of a static spawn)

Many bothan spies died to get this.

Looks pretty accurate to me. I found two gnoll hunters at the "HUNT %" spot near BB. Still had to buy the top staff piece though. Very rare spawns!

Edit: The turn-in didn't yield any cash, so if you're not actually after a staff, I wouldn't bother with this quest.

I'm glad I didn't buy that top piece from that person then LOL
