New to P99

Hey Everyone!
Installed the client and joined a few months ago and just finally jumped in today! I'm not usually one for posting, but had to give a shout out to the community for the awesome experience I've had so far.

Having played a Rogue back in the day, despite the pain I knew I would endure as a fresh player, I showed up in Kaladim ready to hit the mines. I was able to get to Butcherblock mostly on muscle memory and the struggles began. Do I just start stabbing away? Should I see if any townspeople need assistance in a quest? Why is that Aviak so pissed?

Luckily, my fellow zone-mates told me to focus on the little skeletons and scarabs and talk to some folks in town. Now level 4 with some patchwork and carapaces on my limbs, I felt resilient, but my Dagger* just wasn't cutting it [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].

With a couple plat in hand, I was off to some tunnel where I heard folks were peddling their wares, hoping to find something a little sharper. On my way to the docks, some tall lady with a blade covered in shamrocks said she could give me a lift and POOF, we were off.

Realizing a couple pp wasn't gonna cut it, I decided to get a little more resourceful. Maybe I should yank one of those daggers out of that snake's mouth! Leaping before I looked, this deadly tree rope had me on the brink of death until this blonde chick started shooting crap out of her hands! She even had some floating animation do most of the work for her! It only took a couple of those scaly bastards to finally give up the goods, but now what? Where the hell am I?

Yelling across the zone, I found someone to kick me across the ocean back home, but where did all these trees come from? Is that an orc? I thought I was supposed to kill goblins? Oh well, this fang works on them, too. MAaybe I can post up on this hill and slaughter away.

Semi-RP aside, I'm having a blast. Thanks so much to the Druid, Enchanter, and Wizard who were willing to lend this lost soul a hand. If you see me barrel rolling through CB, give me a hail! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
