Default Inside the mind of a professional gamer

A look into the mind of a professional quake player. Never let it be said that fps games are all aim and reflexes.

I scoffed when I saw professional gamer, but that honestly was pretty cool.

I wish I would have taken this stuff more seriously 10 years ago.

Hes considered one of if not the best dueler currently. He had a medicocre showing at quakecon and got 2nd at gamescom 2010, but up until those he was the player to beat and had a streak of first places. Hes made somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 grand from tournaments so far.

Not sure what else to call that than professional heh.

Saw it on reddit a few weeks ago and was glad I clicked the link. Id say I was aware of 50-60% of what was going through his mind, but some of that was quite a bit ridiculous. Hearing/knowing what items his opponent picked up and then timing their respawn was something I had never even considered. Knowing or making a fairly accurate guess of his opponents health, or deciding pre/mid fight that his chance of survival(Leeroy?) was low and retreating is ridiculous.

Amazing stuff. I used to be a pretty good Counter-Strike player where when given an AK, i was a mobile railgun but my tactics were pretty subpar. When you see guys like him, you see where a less 'skilled' player can get on top by pure force of mind. As I said before, amazing stuff.

Great vid, OP. I just finished it. I could only watch about 10seconds of the 2nd video, though.
