NPC Ate my items and im aimable did i do something wrong? ANyone have problem?

According to the quest page on the wiki, you need warmly faction in order to complete the quest.

I'm pretty sure when I did the quest I also had warmly faction. I raised my faction mostly through killing Karana Bandits and turning in their sashes.
