Default Pets should frenzy on low hp mobs on their aggro list

I do not believe pets do this at present, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

But if a pet has a mob on its aggro list, and it gets into low-hp, the pet should frenzy on it.

Classic evidence:

And as far as necros using pets in dungeon settings, that's a difficult task. Verant's programmers weren't intelligent enough to program the game so that the pet could have sense enough to run around corners to keep up with the necro as he ventured further in the dungeon, nor do the pets have sense not to run off out of sight chasing an almost-dead mob.

I think that means chasing a mob that is fleeing.

On second look, that's a valid reading of the text. Does anyone else remember this mechanic or am I misremembering?
