Default Heal over Time stacking

Celestial Elixir, Celestial Healing (Velious), and Torpor should not stack with Regen spells (Regeneration, Chloroplast, Regrowth, Fungal Regrowth - and their group counterparts)... Until 2 months into Velious.

January 2001 Patch

Quote:
Last week's patch attempted to fix Celestial Elixir, Celestial Healing, and Torpor, so that they would stack another similar spell, unintentionally causing it to stop stacking with standard regeneration spells. This has been fixed. The downside to this fix is that these spells will now overwrite the 'Call of Bones' series. As the three former spells are cast to save a character's life, this solution appears to be the most beneficial for all of those involved.
Basically the effect of this patch put Celestial Healing from slot 2 to slot 1. Before that Celestial Healing stacked with Celestial Elixir/Torpor/Regen spells. However Celestial Elixir/Torpor never stacked with Regen spells.

This was fixed so that HoTs stacked with Regen spells a month later:

February 2001 Patch

Quote:
Created a new spell effect for Celestial Healing, Celestial Elixir, and Torpor. This will allow them to stack with all other spells, save spells of the same type (Heal over time). Prior to this, all heal-over-time spells followed the same rules as regeneration spells.
So basically, 2 months into Velious HoTs stack with Regens.

Evidence that the first patch notes quote isn't misleading (since it does indicate that the HoT/Regen stacking was a short lived bug by a previous patch)...

EQClerics 2000

Quote:
It doesn't stack with Regrowth, and gives the player a blinking icon for it's 24 sec duration.
That's from before the patch, confirming it doesn't stack. Albeit that was when Celestial elixir was weird and had cure counters that didn't work properly.

EQClerics 2001

Quote:
Celestial Healing (Cleric 44) silently NERFED.

Its' regeneration effect (180hp * 7 ticks) *was* in slot 2, and did not overwrite REGEN / CHLORO / etc.

Its' regeneration effect has been MOVED to slot 1, causing it to now overwrite regeneration series of spells.

Celestial Elixir (Cleric 59) was always in slot 1, and never did stack with regen / chloro. It is unchanged.
More evidence that it didn't stack. Those of you who like to nitpick my bug posts and start pulling out contradictory quotes to say I'm cherry picking, please note that Celestial Healing =/= Celestial Elixir. CH (Sinzan acronym) did stack with regen until this patch. CE never did until the 2 months into Velious patch.

I have one. It just happens to involve lots of downtime loading and compiling things.
