NPC Spawn Issue: Packmaster Dledsh

The Warrens has some itemisation issues, which don't seem classic. I believe this is due to how data is collected and the way that was impacted by trivial loot code and high level faction farmers.

The particular NPC I want to focus on this time is Packmaster Dledsh, who I believe is far too rare.

My own experiences of live contrast with here.

I used to spend a lot of time in The Warrens on Sullon Zek, and have levelled a few characters there on p99 too.

Packmaster appears to be a 1:5 - 1:6 spawn in 2001. The boots seem to be a 1:10 drop, the lash being 1:2 drop. On top of his rares he can also drop soft wicker (maybe 1:10 overall chance?)

The frienzied rats are his PH. I hunted in the warrens from 4 to 34 with my ERU SK. After killing the frienzied rat, there is about a 5 min wait, and 1 in 5 will pop this dude.

Over the course of two long weekend days and two weeknights, I camped the packmaster looking fo rhte boots. Out of 66 spawns, 9 were packmaster, he dropped nothign 4 times, dropped the lash 4 times, and the last time finally dropped the boots and a piece of soft wicker (wristbands). I would definately say that the lash is common and the boots are rare... He doesn't have very many hit points but the first tiem I fought him with the lash, it proccedf on me three times and I died. After that I started rooting him and nuking with burst of fire (15points) while plinging him with my trueshot (21points, 44 for a crit). If I could keep him rooted it was easy.

I camped this guy 2 nights running for about 6 hrs each night on Veeshan. The spawn rate is 16 mins. The frequency of Frenzied Rat to PM seems to be random - overall i had 31 spawns being 26 Rats & 5 PMs. Also there appears to be two different Packmasters of the same name - one is as a standard kobold as pictured - the other is a kobold with a bat's head! The latter dropped the whip while the kobold- looking PM dropped the boots.

(the two different spawns being a result of a glitch where kobolds wearing leather hats receive manbat heads)


Total counted spawns - 14 / 97 (0.14 circa 1:6)

Packmaster Dledsh seems far rarer than the reported spawns (claimed 1:5, observed 1:6) on p99.

To add to your data, I leveled my cleric in the warrens and cleared that PH often, but never once saw a Packmaster spawn. I killed a frenzied rat 21 times.
