So from all the answers, I think the pollster was thinking of where we would start our characters, or if we were starting over, where we would feel most comfortable, plus Thurgarden, which functions as a home for many in Velious even if characters don't start there.

Of course, then, Felwithe, Ak-Anon, and Rivervale would have been acceptable answers.

On my main I enjoy sitting around the WC druid rings. It's nice and safe and comfortable with many people and facilities near by.

Although when I make a new character I prefer to hang around Faydwer for leveling and such.

Steamfont is the most underrated 1 to 12 starting area. Xp and plat a plenty and for the true noobs there are even minotaur axes to be had!

Skeletons, kobolds, clockwork robots, wildlife, elementals, drakes, harpies, spiders and minotaurs! Variance, baby. Plus gnomes. Sexy sexy gnomes.

The Karanas. Probably because my first ever character in EQ was a Half-Elf Druid who started in Surefall Glade.

Only reason I installed this game in the first place was to see rivervale/misty thicket again. Then make it to "the wall" and runneyeye. Still need to farm myself a blackened iron bastard sword ""Bibs" although now I have to settle for alloy.

BIBS still drops, at least as of a few weeks ago.
