I tried it both ways, actually, just to make sure. Same result. It's as if that file isn't even being read.

One other thing you might also do is go into your options at the login screen and change your resolution to something lower. Once you get in game you can change it back. This will sync up your eqclient.ini file as well.

One other thing that came to mind is to change the properties of the eqgame.exe file to run in compatibility mode.

Hi Nocte, did you try pressing "ALT+ENTER" when in full screen mode to see if it sets it to windowed?

Open up eqclient.ini in your Everquest folder. Find windowed mode and set to TRUE.

WindowedMode=TRUE

You can also delete your 'eqclient.ini' to start from scratch in case there is an issue with it.

I had similar crashing with fullscreen, it was due to the resolution being different than my desktop (windows 10)

You need to do a few steps. You need to run your shortcut as windows xp capability mode sp3, always run the shortcut as administrator and you have to set affinity to eqgame.exe in windows task manager for 0 to only run on one core. They have many ways to go about this. I'm pretty sure this will fix a lot of your problems.

ALSO P99 doesn't work on high GHZ processors. Around 4.5ghz you hit a limit and start getting weird glitches and crashes. Above 4.7-4.8ghz the game won't even run on most computers.

Are you using an overclocked rig?
