yeah there definitely wasn't any way to look up information about the game during Classic through Velious. Thank god we have the internet now.

There was always random sites you could check to figure out some quests and whatnot, but the item pricing tracker should take a dive. Kills that Flea Market feel to EC.

Everquestraids.con, eqprices.com, eqcastersrealm.com, allakhazam.com. and more were all websites that were used and available during Clasic through Velious. The wiki just combines all of the knowledge and is more accurate. There is no reason at all to leave the wiki down. Most people know where everything drops and how much everything goes for that costs 1kpp+. If the wiki were left down it would only be hurting those people new to P99 and those that did not play Classic through Velious, for the rest of us it just helps us sort through our own brains quicker.

We had Allas back then, as well as EQ Atlas and EQ Maps, I think it was called, that was maps and item info. It just wasn't all in one place like the wiki, but it was all there. Now there is no accurate resource for this era so the wiki is needed.

Yes, and Casters Realm. This is all just a thiny veiled guise for the EC "make an offer" douchebags.

So hilarious that you guys think there were no 'outside the game' resources available in 1999. Yeah, the web existed then and we had allakhazam and various web forums.
OP, you seem to suggest all of these sweeping changes and for some of us, hearing these proposals from a level 20 seems so pointless. At least put in some time actually playing on the server and experiencing the game past 20 before you make all these suggestions and your suggestions may be better received.
