Is the level 55 spell Spirit of the Howler worth the price? I dont have a ton of plat and want to know if this spell is worth its price in plat? Thanks [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

probably if you are a soloing cash camp shaman that uses the pet to tank beefy things

otherwise its most likely only used as a mana battery with a reclaim energy clicky

I don't consider the 55 pet worth buying unless you have platinum to spare, but you might as well scribe the spell if you receive it as a drop. It only gains a single level over the 49 pet--instead of a damage range of 43 to 51, you get a damage range of 45 to 52. As such the majority of pets you summon with the 55 spell are the same as most of what you already get with the 49 spell. At best you get one a level higher, with very slightly higher accuracy and maybe a couple hundred more hit points. It's not a large difference, or even a difference you'll notice most the time. If you're min-maxing you'll want it, but otherwise you can live without it.

I didn't use it much at all from 55-60, but now that I'm 60 I use it while farming plat. I can either let him tank and drop a torpor on him or tank myself while he does DPS from behind. IMO if you are strapped for plat and have epic I would hold off till later. Should be saving all your plat for Torpor/Malo/Pox/Canni4/Bane right now anyway.

I would skip buying it right now. If it was me I would save all the plat I made and get an epic mq. Can really grind out the last few levels fast by root rotting.

55 pet is nice, dunno what it runs for on blue. def worth buying unless you have other needs like epic, torpor, bane whatever i guess. only bad part is when you summon a shitty pet instead of the max lvl one that hits for 52's. being able to torpor/canni then reclaim pet after a farm sesh is always nice too.
