Starting a Cleric

Never had a cleric before, so what is the best God/Race combo to choose. I am thinking gnome as they get gnome vision and tinkered stuff plus the necklace effects for either god look good. Dark elf has the snare necklace, and a human cleric of Inni can do the paineel armor quests and get the snare necklace. Anyone advise?

Best is probably halfling for hide/sneak. But I’d give 2nd to human inny with the snare neck and deadeye helm.

I agree with your line of thinking insofar as you're looking for a race/diety that gets something normal gear can't. Halfling, dark elf, gnome seem like the best IMHO! I went halfling personally.

I went halfling but rerolled to dark elf. I think I even deleted the halfling about halfway through the levels.

Can illusion to halfling for short periods.

Snare was handy for fear kiting / nuke spamming spectres.

what the hell is a skull helm? oh you mean the plate DE graphic?

anyway, gnomes can have a bit of extra twink fun with the self haste but stats are almost comprhensively trash for cleric long term.

halfers best to rush for a rez bot. occassionaly hide/sneak can be useful

human has the most complete combo of tool kit/stats. imo best cleric race but not a must play.

would strongly consider picking whichever race you like best out of the races that can use the snare clicky if the character isnt going to be a rez bot or raid only/primary cleric. put all your points in cha, too if thats the case.

I think the high cha/wis of the high elf might be underrated. I rolled dwarf cleric on blue. Was really butthurt about the whole op sneak of halflings with the skipping stone. That's all nerfed now so it's still up in the air for me as to which race is the best. Min max for raids is retarded. Can zerg in the nude. Min maxing for duo/trio seems more reasonable. Cha is very important for nonvegatable cleric. I think highelf might be best choice unless you really into using that snare for something

Are there any clerics that do cool stuff like big solo/duo/trio/group kills or what ever is difficult and lucrative these days outside of raiding? Can you chime in on what's best race for this type of cleric?

DE hands down cause of Ultravision, Hide, Snare neck and best Fashion Quest.
