I can't believe there are people who want to shutdown the economy and perform another lockdown.
Working Americans are in dept for the rest of their life and their kids life from the first lockdown.

Well look, no measure is too drastic to prevent people getting this virus that kills almost nobody who gets it.
There is literally no mainstream discourse about *how* a death is attributed to covid. 250k dead!! Well, how many of them had co-morbidities? Oh almost all of them. So, okay, at what point do you ask "Is it fair to attribute this person's death to covid? They were 80 and had advanced diabetes. A bad cold could have killed them too.". The way this issue is being portrayed and responded to is so completely incongruous with the way we treat literally any other disease. You will never be safe from disease. You'll never be safe from risk in life generally. If this was actually airborne ebola you could make a much more convincing case for these lockdowns, but it's *not*. People cannot get this through their heads, it's just shockingly retarded. | ||

Heart disease - over 300k-600k death in America every year
Cancer - over 250k-600k deaths in America ever year Accidents - over 50k-200k deaths in America every year covid - 258K deaths in America according to google. Now don't get it twisted I'm not trying to under play covid deaths. Statistically it doesn't match up with yearly deaths of other factors. The longer we're exposed to covid the less deaths there will be. The more testing that is perform the more cases number will rise. And this is a very political subject in America. I firmly believe we should be protecting those who are vulnerable to it and allowing everyone else to live their life. Covid is not going away, it's here to stay sorry not sorry. There are still flare up cases of SARS for example. Fucking Leprosy still exists and that's an Ancient Disease.

Trivial matter to identify a realistic number of covid deaths discounting people who were going to die anyway and covid simply finished them off: Look at total deaths since about March versus the average American death rate for a similar timespan.

edit: I do think we can make educated predictions based on what we've learned this year however so to that extent I agree. I agree covid has finished off people who I define as vulnerable. One issue with identifying who is vulnerable is who defines one's wellness as being a state of vulnerable.
