So what you guys are saying is......Republicans are brainwashing people through local news stations from buying the media and 60% of the population in the US is woke to this and aware and votes Democrat? The other 40% is brainwashed from blasting Republican talking points on local news organizations?
That sounds ridiculously stupid. When someone is brainwashing, they aren't going for points that are considered "immoral" as you so lefties put it. Secondly, you aren't going for 40% of the population for a brainwash, you are going for 60%. 60% is easily manipulated by telling them they are a person for the people or giving them free shit. Social justice warriors love feeling like they are a part of something bigger than them even if they don't know what it is. Last point being, it doesn't matter if you own 300 local news stations that are worth around $100B or whatever amount. You will only get one channel if someone turns on their TV and they can change to the 100 others and get different content. Not an effective brain wash. You would literally need to drive to another county to get a different opinion from a different fox news analyst. Now if you are going for brain washing, you want someone to turn on their TV and 95% of the channels are pushing your point of view. You open social media, it is pushing your proint of view. That is brain washing. I am not saying this is some big conspiracy theory as you are stating but I'm saying this is driven by hits. Traffic on the sites drives these stories. People like feel good stories and drama. The more they talk about social justice, immigration, Trump, the more people become political charged and they get more hits. The more they want to buy more channels and shove the same shit down your throat.

It's pretty simple. You are stating that there is a propaganda machine with Fox news. I am saying that Sinclair owns a bunch of ABC and Fox news in different counties. That is hardly a propaganda machine if you go to New York and they own 5 stations out 500 in the city. That is hardly propaganda if they own 10 out 1000 in LA. The point being, just because a company owns a large number of local news media, it doesn't have much of an effect if they only own 1 channel in each county. When a company donates to candidates, it doesn't mean they are all the sudden 100% bias. What you need to do is turn on your TV, go through the first 100 channels if you can afford them and count how many news organizations are Anti-Trump vs Trump. CNN? MSNBC? ABC? BET? MTV? Comedy Central? Starz? Showtime? How many have anti-trump content? This isn't a hard question.

It's not about how many channels they have in mass markets -- it's how many they have in the small markets with the people who rely on Broadcast news. And they are 100% biased and only broadcast Republican propaganda and talking points, very similarly to Fox News except it's at every station they own.

The problem is local news pretends to be your friend and generally stays apolitical or at least blandly Centrist
nobody should be pushing must-runs nationally
