Mask of Deception

My 35 rogue is sitting at the lguk ent, with hopes of parking myself near the ass/sup room and getting a Mask of Deception that would otherwise rot. Problem is, the zone is so complicated and I don't like my chances to make it there alone. Plus the zone seems so deserted and I haven't been able to get a group.

The wiki lists some prices for the mask even though it's no drop? Any suggestions?

It’s definitely no drop. That could be folks offering looting rights, though?
I think the ass/sup is camped often enough. Keep trying, I’m sure one day soon a kind higher level might even escort you to the spawn so you can get your mask!

You can sneak hide a lvl 1 all the way down easily, just use sneak hide and work slowly.

Yeah, but the assassin can see through hide. I got caught out by that as a lowbie; monk puller decided to flop right next to me (I choose to believe it didn't know I was there) for some reason and I got aggro.

Sneak hide is different from hide, and if you're sneaking and behind a mob, they wont see you ever.

At the bottom of the ladder to the assassin, there is a small alcove to the left thats a dead end. That is considered a safe spot. Nothing paths by there without other player intervention. That is where you wait for a mask of deception as a lowbie, after the person up the ladder is aware of you.
