I just moved back to the US from China (mainland, not HK or Taiwan) and was playing there for a bit before I came home. If I recall correctly I could do it without using a VPN, which you can't do on live servers. The connection wasn't great but you didn't need to do anything to get around the firewall.

Thanks guys. I'd be interested to see what my ping would be out there. Red won't be easy with 200-250+

Is there anyone who plays red with a 250+ latency? How does this effect them in pvp?
I recall seeing some post about someone who played from new zealand or something and people were complaining about them having a high ping advantage? Maybe I got it wrong but if that's the case. Everyone with a high ping should play RED!. Fixed- Everyone Should Play Red.

I am chinese player who still on P1999 blue . the "Great wall" now effect us . Sometime we can't find the sever list when we log on . So we use VPN .
Sometimes , means 10days in a month maybe ok without VPN. we have more than 15 guys play on the blue now . Just leveling and do some small camp .
