Rog-Bog has allowed bowquest to remain because otherwise Red99 would be nothing but druids and mages.

everquest mechanics do not allow for balanced PVP among the various classes.

EQ pvp was an afterthought that was haphazardly written into a game that was designed specifically for players to work together, NOT kill each other.

any BoTB contest is always class vs class, this is the only fair pvp contest in EQ.

You gotta play a different game if you want to fight other humans

right now I would recommend downloading "Ukraine 2022" its a single purchase then free to play forever hyper-realistic VR shooter with NO respawns, so play wisely.

Agreed. Shooters are fun. So is minecraft.

Mmos abstract so much they diminish the value of tactical skill in favor of strategic, yet when a game stagnates and there are no updates. There are no new strategies.

I love EQ.

And pvp is the answer to boring FTE and camp lawyering. So that justifies pvp in an mmo for me. It's not really a game then. It's a meta. That quickly devolves into powerlvling only 1 type of character for most.

Though three rogues should be able to overcome a bow ogre. If played right. So the game isn't totally over.

Until everyone is a bow ogre or necromancer. With an aon. Of course.

If red was just FFA no level ranges at all and lvl 1s attacked lvl 60s like there was only a 5 level difference it'd be heavenly.
