Default Solo Leveling for 31 Shaman.

Just kind of curious where I could go at level 31 as a shaman. Been spending 27 - 31 on brutes in WW. Anyone have some suggestions for a spot with 3 - 4 spawns I could just camp?

The Per-Level Hunting Guide always has lots of good ideas, but personally I lived in South Karana at those levels. Three different camps (centaurs, treants, and spire gnolls) are there, so one is almost always free, and if not there's a fourth camp just inside Splitpaw.

Paw also is pretty good... I like the Giant fort though, can solo easy and also pick up a partner if you want to duo fairly easy.

In my 30s on live, I spent so many days at the giant fort.

Min-max ratio would probably be to solo or duo with a monk at LOIO Sarnak fort ledge. Easy kills, stead xp, minimal risk, minimal mana impact. The reasons for hitting FM fort a bit later is typically found that number of mobs killed beat level of mobs killed in low 30's.

Perhaps my personal preference though as have followed this rule even into 40-50's - i.e. I find that Solbowns CoM for XP because the time taken to kill 1 golem in CoM is equal to about time taken to kill 3 kobolds in Royals. Per mob the XP is worse, but your getting through 3 times as many mobs in same time.

Yeah a 31 sham has several spots, don't forget deep upperguk and sola are good options. Mistmoore isn't bad but tough with trains and hard single pulls. LOIO is great for sure, especially if you can duo with a monk, then it opens you up to so many spots!

IMO go for zones with a higher exp modifier than anything else, as long as you aren't taking too much risk.

Stormfists is right about CoM vs Solb or whatever, because the old school mobs have about 1/3 less hp (Depends obviously, but pretty close to 1/3 normally) and hit less hard, they are a little less exp but in the long run it's completely worth it.

Really nice thing about the fort, especially regarding shamans, is that the giants are quite easy to slow, and then dmg mitigation is huge. If you find yourself a monk or warrior duo combo, you can shred through giants with next to no damage taken. Plus, no spell casters [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] IIRC Gem oracles / Revenants hurt quite a bit. I'd say go to the fort at 30. Hillocks will be blue for a couple levels yet, and the tumps will still con blue / green at 40 =)

I'm very casual, but if you want a warrior partner for the kunark area, or whatever, message Telopen in game. I'm a lvl 40 warrior right now. Always looking for company.

If you don't mind the faction hit, misty thicket guards at the wall are great xp in your 30s and drop a 10p spear + 2p shield every time. Finding a vendor is the toughest part but there are a few ways.
