Nostalgia is a powerful DRUG
Please excuse my use of maximum sized characters but it's the truth. Don't let people tell you it's anything else. --- Live in the past, it's better than what we're living in now-a-days. --- BTW Lancelot that coat tail rider didn't come up with my signature it was before he came around.

if you're from OPs generation, you proubbly watched a lot of Twilight Zone. I loved how like half the episodes were about mark twain days, barefoot kids with cornhusk hats running around. Every time there was like a heaven or a fantasy life episode it was a high probability of being in the old tom sawyer days.
Even back then in the 1950's they were feeding off nostalgia of their youth. I bet the people in the inquisition were like, the early inquisition was so much better. | ||

I think once you make it back before pre-industrial times, people didn’t have the time or need to lament phantom adversities of modernity. They lived with it daily. Every day was as much a struggle as the last and people were thankful for every moment of respite.
