Spring of 03. Was at work or school and had a thought/desire to play a game when I got home (not EQ). 3 hours of EQ later after I got home i remember I didn't want to play EQ that day and wanted to play whatever other game it was.

Realized that something wasn't right being so habitual to log in and play like that. Quit cold turkey that day.

I remember doing the old "wake up two hours early so I can game, even though I went to bed 2 hours late" gig. I also remember waking up to play in the middle of the night, and thinking it was so exhilarating, how many players were still online....I thought that was sooo cool.

I think the people that take the cake are the ones that get married in the game.

I skipped a day of school because Faydedar spawned and it was my last fight to complete my druid epic.

But I mean seriously who wouldn't skip school for that?

I knew it was bad when I had my 5 year old daughter watching the raster camp while I fed her sister... She came downstairs screaming "daddy, the man is there!!!" I looked, and there he was...

Guess who got ice cream for a week?

I performed a couple of weddings with my cleric back in the day. Nothing I ever planned to do, people I grouped with would just ask.

Their immersion level surpassed unreachable heights

Have never seen this on p99 but I remember it being pretty common on live. Guess the demographic that plays here can't reach that immersion level.
