Checking for named mobs

Just a QQ is there any way for a non-pet class to determine if a named spawn is up somewhere in the zone?

Aside from the fire elemental pot, are there any items (preferably rechargeable) that summon a low level pet for non-pet classes?

Yes. Play a ranger or bard. Or group with trackers.

Um I think you have three options come fear patch today. Brazier, dragon tooth or puppet strings. Puppet strings the only rechargeable of the bunch and I feel quite confident in ensuring you will never own one set never mind two but I'm no nostradamus

Guilds will be power leveling rangers (lvl 36) to park in fear so they can track a majority of the zone.

it's kinda fucked that's what is required to compete for raid targets on this server. /shrug

Ah I didn’t realize you could zone into fear before lvl 46. Guessing the lvl req was raised later on.
