NPC Spawn Issue: A Rancorous Ghast - Lesser Faydark

So I started camping the ghasts for my druid's root necklace quest. It's pretty clear that they are hard to get, however I have had multiple ones despawn at 6AM when in combat with them. Based on the evidence below, I don't think these should be despawning, and should have the potential to spawn at any time of the day. There are multiple reports of people getting these things during the day. While it's quite likely the chance of them spawning is rarer during the day(possibly 50%?) if they do have the potential to spawn during the day, then I don't think they should be despawning at 6AM.

I havve been hunting these things for the last couple of nights and have come to the conclusion that they do pop at any time of day or night, A 56 Pally Guildie and I have killed them at all times of the day.. We Killed 12 in the last 2 days and have dropped the hearts twice.

I've been working on these ghasts for a couple days now. I've killed 10 and looted 2 Hearts. They do spawn during the day but they are definately more prevalent at night. Watch out for the Brownies...died three times alreadyhunting these things.

Saw one spawn at exactly 8 PM, so they've expanded their hours at least by some.
