Default Green beta is amazing

So I had a great time this weekend playing the green beta. I rolled a monk and started in Qeynos. Leveling was very fast obviously because of the 10x modifier. Eventually I joined a group of two other monks, a rogue, a SK, and a shaman in blackburrow.

We crawled down to the snake pit and camped there for a while killing snakes and gnolls. There were a few pulls with 2 yellow cons and we still came out on top. Finally we found the Master Brewer who conned red to my lvl 12 monk. He patrolled and eventually agroed us. We fought as hard as possible and eventually we got him down! He dropped the blackburrow cask that is for a +3 dex cloak.

All in all, it was a great time and I am definitely excited for the full launch of green. Oh and I did see a group of 6 mages with names like Chris and Dan. I figured they must be practicing for their sweaty attempt at server first manastone at release.

Was one of the other monks in this group last night. I gotta say it felt really, really good to be in a group in classic eq. I have never leveled a character from Qeynos so this has been a new experience for me. I have only ever gone to BB in my life if I was running to Halas or Everfrost for something.

It has also been nice getting a taste for myself what monk, or any melee class for that matter, is going to be like come launch. It is going to be sooooo brutal. I'm trying to prepare myself for just how hard this is going to be but I'm not sure it has gotten through yet.

I grouped as a monk with a wizard and a cleric in North Qeynos, then in Q Hills then in BB for a bit.

Great fun! I wish Green spent much much longer in Classic so we could just casually grind all these old world zones.

This is simply 100x the fun of raiding HoT or VP or grinding level 59 on your n-th alt.

I am not sure why screenshots make that weird gray blackground when they don't look like that in game. Must be some weird transparency issue with creating bitmaps or something.
