Default Server Select Blank

Today, I was able to log directly into my server. But again, the server select does not populate and has an error, "Error - A timeout occurred". It's the second time it has happened and seems to only happen when the game crashing when I zone.

Tried restarting the game and waiting for the servers to pop up and had to resort to installing it all over again.

Am I doing something wrong?

When it crashes make sure eqgame.exe isn't still running before trying again.

Is your eqhost.txt file set to what it says to set it to? Sounds to me that it doesn't know where to connect once you log in.

Lastly, please be sure your eqhost.txt file (located in your everquest folder) has the following in it (and ONLY this, you can edit it using notepad):

[LoginServer]
Host=login.eqemulator.net:5998
