Might be trying to start the client at a bad resolution. Try running the setup (from the initial page prior to logging in) and selecting something like 800x600 and then you can play around with it in-game.
Additionally, you can rename eqclient.ini to something else (eqclient.ini.old) and the client will regenerate a default one upon logging in. -Mcoy | ||

One of your UI chat windows may be too small, perhaps.
I know that can cause this. So you may want to also try renaming your ui ini to .bac UI_Name_project1999.ini UI_Name_P1999Green.ini

I've had this problem for a couple of days now.
Did a complete reinstall and still not working. I have no character config files for the game to get hung up on. I can get to character select, but when I click enter world the client freezes up for a few minutes then punts me back to login. I can log into a character on the red server, but not on the blue or green server. | ||

Running as admin with SP2 compatibility. Able to log into red character, but not blue or green.
