Default Open bag sound unusually loud

Not sure why but when I close or open bags it is incredibly loud. Loud to the point that when the volume is low enough that I cant hear any other sounds at all except thunder, it is still too loud to be comfortable. I've tried finding the sound for a bag opening and closing and cant. I did manage to delete the thunder sounds. The sound realism slider doesn't seem to affect any sound at all in this game. Is there a fix for this? This is unbelievably annoying and it isn't exactly enjoyable playing without any sound at all

i think the only thing you can do is turn down the 'sound effects' slider to make all the sound effects quieter.

Does this happen with all bags or only certain ones? i've never heard of anyone having this problem... The opening bag sound is definitely loud, but not the way you're describing.

It is several times louder than all other sounds. Forgot to mention money makes the same sound anytime I loot or destroy it. As far as I can tell these are the only sounds like that.

And it gets worse the more bags you open at once! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Default Sorry for the necro.

I am having the same issue. The Bag opening and closing sound, and the sound of coin is significantly louder than everything else in the game.

https://www.project1999.com/forums/a...p/t-12623.html

Following that post I am able to look through the .s3d files, but finding the bag sound is proving to be a real challenge? Is there anyway to in a sense "eavesdrop" on the game and figure out what .wav file is being played when opening and closing my bags?

Maybe someone is just savvy enough that they would know this?

I need to find the sound for Coin Bag Open, and Bag close. The box sound is at normal volume for whatever reason.

Thanks for any help you can provide

Never mind! That link I posted lists the bag sound. Got it! If anyone else is trying to do this, follow that link and read through all the replies, it names a lot of the annoyingly loud sounds in the game.

I want to take this to the next level, is there a way to modify the sound to be quieter but still in game?

Also can a GM/Dev confirm this is OK to do, at least removing the loud obnoxious sounds?
