Funny stuff...

Surprised that the gray goo attacks on second life didn't make it in.

If MMORPG players were around when God said, "Let there be light" they'd have called the light gay, and plunged the universe back into darkness by squatting their nutsacks over it.

In a way, I think it was a fitting thing to do. The guy who had passed away in real life was a player on a PVP server. What better a way for his final sendoff than with something that he and his friends spent countless hours doing and having fun in the process? A big PVP slaughter with his friends (granted, it was one-sided). I admit when I read it I thought that the attacking group was a bunch of douches but in retrospect, I think it's all fine..

re: Crashing WoW Funeral. I'm a pretty down to earth person and realize that it was a pretty lame thing to do. HOWEVER, why would you have the publicized funeral on a PvP server in a FFA PVP ZONE! I know the dude that died liked to spend a lot of time there and that's all well and good, but if you're gonna beg to be trolled on a PvP server, do it in one of the safe-zones. Or mobilize a huge friggin army to protect the damn thing.

Edit: Post above me has valid points as well. I'm sure the dude was looking down from gamer-heaven and nodding approvingly.

I thought it was fitting. But it would have been much cooler if the lack of preparation was only rumor. Killer reverse psychology, lure them into a trap and devour them with a full raid force. That would have been epic.

Another utter failure that completely fails at even mentioning the worst thing that's ever happened in MMO history, let along placing it in its completely undebatable spot at #1: the total destruction of the entire (immensely awesome) game of Star Wars Galaxies via NGE by Sony Online Entertainment. May they forever rot in hell.

WoW funeral crash event was awesome. I remember when it happened. Although I was on a PVP server anytime I played WoW sadly I wasn't on theirs during classic.
