I kind of forgot about it really until I started playing on TLP and realized KS'ing and training wasn't just legal, it was still a fairly common practice, but in my experience that actually led people to be more diplomatic and friendly. Actually still have a sticky note of people who I had blacklisted, and saw people try to work out agreements in ways that reminded me of the true EverQuest politics from 1999. Now everything is about running to the police, or trying to frame someone. Still remember this time a dude wouldn't stop stealing mobs from our camp, and then he somehow petitioned the GMs on P99 and then started pretending to be a good guy after they responded because he knew they were watching, and they came at me like I was some toxic dude for pulling mobs from the other group's camp because they literally pulled every mob from ours, and cursed at us in OOC and called us losers the entire time (with their dark elf masks, rubi breastplates, and manastones on low level twinks). I got the last laugh on that one regardless because multiple times people would be like hey we got this rogue, and I would be like so what's his name? Oh? I'm not grouping with him. Perks of being a healer versus a clown class that gets out dps'd by an enchanter's pet. | |||
