Default Help: wizard quote kite spots/areas for 39-44.

As the title says, where could a wizard go for some decent xp? The kodiak caves in GD are just too hard on the HP pool, the Spires and gnolls of SK have dried up, pirates after bad xp now and well, I'm sort of at a loss.

I'm looking for fast xp. Loot be damned.

39 may be a tiny bit low (can't quite remember when they become viable), but bloodgill goblins in LOIO are fantastic to quad through most of your 40s. They're low hp mobs conveniently bunched into groups of four. The only real trick is finding them open...

I'd probably recommend drolvargs in FV to 42 or so, then trying out the bloodgills.

Check, thank you. I tried diddling about in the Great Divide, but the tizmaks are greening out and the Kodiaks are just too much of a hassle to pull. They also got a truckload of hp and neither the xp nor loot makes up for that.

I wonder if Ogre guards at 44-45 would be worth it.

If you play outside prime hours, bind in qeynos and kill gnolls. When you get a set of 4 skins, gate to qeynos, hand in the scrolls, port back to north karana and kite again?

Guards in North Karana. Pull two from the bridge and two from the tower near gypsies.

Very safe and easy. Solid spot for late 30s through about 44.

General rule of thumb regarding exp grinding:

Mob HP == amount of mana needed to kill == time spent med'ing == exp per hour

Velious HP > Kunark HP > Classic HP

So, in most cases, the best exp per hour you're going to find would be the opposite order. Classic --> Kunark --> Velious

That being said, I haven't personally done the guards in NK, but that would logically be the best move. Other things to consider include downtime.

Personally at this level I was bound in OT at the ramp where Clarity was commonly available, which increased my kills per hour.

Also, look up Spirocs in TD.

Good luck~

Bind in OT, quad blue stuff, ro or wc gate to keep crack up as needed.

Alternatively do the same thing at DL yeti caves or outside Karnor's Castle.

Both will get you to 44ish. Then it's bloodgills or more stuff outside KC. You can quad outside KC all the way to 53 or 54 if my memory serves me.

Dreadlands, outside KC. Technically, you can go all the way to 60 here but once you get high enough to quad suits of sentient armor in WL, do them.

In DL, there's an assembly line of mobs level 30-44 that are non-casters (except spiders) and run at the same speed. They also have less hitpoints than Velious mobs of the same level. Round up any four dark blues and have at it. Leave the ravashing drolvargs alone until 54 or so as they have almost double the hitpoints of most of the others.

You also have 4 zone outs (FM/KC/BW/FV), a close bank and supplies (FV) and if you do die, you can usually find a cleric in DL or KC if you're willing to pay.

Port to Nro - walk north & round up the 3 guards. 2 by the inn & one along the road before the sand.

Only if you dont mind wasting your freeport militia faction and you have enough mana to take them down.
Another plus side is EC tunnel is just a zone away if u want buffs.
