They were available right from the start. I remember grouping with a gnome cleric while I was at highpass orcs. Poor little dude didn't have much mana to work with, but we made it work. That would have been late March 1999.

I thought this was excellent, your theories were great, and quality detective work all around. The level of detail in classic Everquest is really unbelievable. I'd love to see more like this, as it touches on what really made EQ great for me.
