The Caster forum is pretty much troll free, as are the other class forums for the most part. "Go ride a bike" usually is troll but in the context of the post its a comical but honest suggestion.
Mage is not a very popular class mainly due to the misconceptions about the class that the P99 hivemind holds. A good Mage can solo many very lucrative cash camps and is also very beneficial in groups, but most players really have no idea at all. Many people roll a class with a certain idea of how it can/should be played and there really isn't a whole lot of info out there - as result they get stuck sitting around with an "LFG" tag and not moving the XP bar with melee nubs yelling at a pet class to get his pet behind every mob.
Grats on rerolling your Mage and now you know that if the tank is turning mobs for you he needs to get his shit together :P
