I play both. Red is lonely but I'm a solo kind of player. I have been pked but it was funny when I realized what was happening. Cripes, my monk being attacked by a skelly in Oasis then realizing it's a pet and the necro is on a dune out of sight. That was a good attack plan so kudos to him.
That is the only pk I experienced. I type / often to be sure I am alone in zones now. If you don't want to play on red, don't. There are a lot of things in life you aren't required to experience.

Red player: "Want an Oasis group on your lvl 15 Cleric without waiting 7 hours in line to kill a few caimens? Try Red."
It may actually be time for a "Try Blue" campaign.

Amazing how many people want to solo level on their monks, necros, druids, etc... then say "Play RED? Ha, I would but the population is too low"

Out of sheer curiosity ... what would be the best class to play in Red if you want to make friends and survive the occasional gank? I come from EVE so pvp is not strange to me.
At least on red I wouldnt lose tons of isk [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Not bad guys. In the ~2 years I have been around, there has been a change of +/- 20 players on Red99.

Since most people didn't play PVP back in the day, it seems about right, population-wise. In their favor, they really do want to encourage new players, so there's that.
