I want to get No man's sky. I love exploration. Just watching people play has been fun for me. I know its got all the depth of a spoonful of water, but for just the visuals and music - the ambience, it would be worth it for me. Big time trekkie. Been watching that somewhat cheesy Dark Matter show and it makes me want to play it even more.

Waiting for it to go down in price tho. $60 is just seems steep for a single player game. Unlike mmos where you want to get in on the ground level, theres just no reason with a single player game. Esp when they will be fixing performance issues and improving it.
Play this if you haven't. It's one of the truly classic games, especially for this genre. And read the manual. Back when people put effort into their games. Manual is like a 90 page book filled with an awesome sci-fi backstory.

This game is better than NMS, Starflight for Genesis. Skip around on this video:

I played Underrail earlier this year. If you're a fan of Fallout 1 & 2, you should probably check this game out. It's what Fallout 3 should have been.

Just saw something about this Planet Nomads game. Looks like a more sci-fi survival sandbox rather than a pure exploration sim. Looking forward to it.

I played Diablo: The Hell earlier this year before p99. It's a d1 mod with new classes, thousands of new items, new quests, new spells, new music, new monsters/bosses/zones, and it keeps to the d1 atmosphere.

I haven't played it this summer, but I get the itch for The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind on a semi-regular basis. Thinking about installing it again soon.

Its like a single-player EQ in a lot of ways, and like EQ, about as close to old-school D&D as nearly any game has ever come IMO.
