96 is the answer if you look at it as an incomplete set, which most will since it appears to skip numbers. If it is viewed as a complete set then 40 is the answer.

The prob is, two different solutions is not a correct answer. One is right, the other not, at least among the two. I haven't looked at FB, but I hear the debate is some 3m posts long [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
But I have a theory, I'm thinking on it.
