Default Surprise Server first Soulfire on Green

The NON-suprise is that it wasnt a pally that got it, so how many soulfires do ppl think will be gotten before an actual paladin who will literally use it as an actual upgrade gets one, the neckbeards are already perma camping lucan ,there was a druid chilling in his room before i posted this. I've said it before and ill say it again, soulfire need to be FIXED like it was on live and make it only clickable when equip, why the DEVS keep allowing this abused item to be allowed to trivialize raids is beyond me and dont give me the classic BS, classic didnt stop them from nerfing the Hoop and other things already.

Ivandyr's Hoop dealt damage, Soulfire does not. You can't have a guild full of soulfire-bagged players right click a mob down. You can use it defensively hence why it wasn't nerfed.

It was used by the Rallos Zek test of tactics team to win the competition. It is classic as is.

2 sides of the exact same coin, this is a terrible argument

One can be used by a raid of 72 people to kill a dragon in seconds. One can be used to kill a dragon in the normal time it takes for a dragon to die.

Is that too complex for you, or should I break it down even further?

The time it takes to kill the dragon is irrelevant. They both trivialize content.

The content is trivialized because we've been doing it for 20 years, not because it is challenging. People can complete raids without SoulFire clickies by using complete heal chains.

The speed of which you kill a dragon DOES matter. If you kill it instantly before it has a chance to react, you further increase the issue that was already presented with P99's 'first to engage' system.

If someone engages a dragon, and fails to kill it due to a wipe, you can take over as a guild waiting their turn for a try. That's not the case with Ivandyr's Hoops, and there is still the factor of tank aggro.

Not to mention Ivandyr's hoops can be used to out-dps players at camps, which is against the rules - why give players the means to easily break the rules?

There are so many scenarios you're just ignoring because you want to make the argument that 'everquest is hard' - no, everquest is tedious, but not hard.
