Uses For Mage Fire Staff at 59?

In my pyrrhic quest to get an earth staff/epic, I managed to get the guild to come help me achieve ... a fire staff [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] (We actually went up for an Ashenbone Drake, but we were bored enough to do the Mistress that was up also).

Ok, so it's no epic, but it's got to be good for something right? And recently I ate like five deaths (never leave your computer for the night when camping out, with 5 seconds left ...), so I have some XP to recover.

Simple question: at 59, is the (enhanced) Mage fire pet actually good for anything? I always used Earth/Water pets to level up, so I have no idea what the fire pet is good for at any level, let alone at 59.

the fire pet has a great damage shield but pretty low HP. maybe for chain summoning pets on a Phinny kill or something? idk, I don't see too many fire pets at higher levels

Outside of farming big packs of low level mobs, no.

It's great pre 50, the vocerate/greater ones are trash.
The pre 50 ones save you casting a damage shield,presuming your using one per per mob it's quite helpful.

Yea Greater Vocaration Fire is basically just a weird wizard. Maybe if you worked together in rooting stuff and guarding your pet?

I wish the focus worked on DDD, I rather like that little tank if it hit a bit harder.

It makes you wish you had the other pieces more. Makes the burning of your pixel lust just a bit stronger.

Too bad the pets are terrible.

pre 50 the fire pet is solid, post 50 it doesn't scale nearly as well and it's pretty much poops

So, as much as I want to, I won't be using the staff to get 60 back. However, I did find one use for it: pre-60 a staff-enhanced Fire pet seems like the best option for raids. Earth annoys people with roots, Vocerate: Water is too low, and the enhanced Fire pet does more damage than an unenhanced Air.

chardok doesnt count as a raid in 2022
