my last 3 experiences playing on an image/devnoob server:

1) devnoob went full retard and started banning people because the howling stones portals were triggering his antihax alert for warping, then publicly shamed them as hackers until he spent 5 minutes to actually look at the zone logs several days later

2) devnoob gave an invisible buff bot NPC in everfrost peaks to the <meow pals> guild

3) fought aforementioned <meow pals> guild at level 30 and our melees had literally over 100 consecutive melee misses on a level 30 magician wearing a starter robe who also had over 5000 hp in damage taken by nukes with no heals to which devnoob said "hmm strange! must be a bug!" and swept it under the rug

Zek better than Red 00 (pop), at the least you can box and don't need to stack 90% of people into one team to do anything.

The only thing that sucks the life out of zek is how every player is a video game balancing xpert and barks demands at the devs, which are usually implemented. Their dev to player access is great, but almost too much and the game spirals out of control with no big picture consideration to changes.

Luckily the choice is not binary.

Zek has small periods of time where the population hits 50 real players before people realize the custom rules suck and game breaking "bugs" are revealed that somehow benefit the same group of people every time.

The server's only purpose is to guard the fragile ego of a couple guys who save up their 2 weeks of vacation for the two season launches they put out each year.
