I never malo before slow unless it’s the 60 unreasonable malo on a big mob. For all other malo line spells ... if you landed malo you would have landed slow. Malo before slow in these instances is therefore not worth it; it just delays the slow.
I generally keep 2 malos loaded if an ench is around. Big duration malo for charm and my LOWEST/cheapest malo. Big resistance malo for the charm pet and mini malo for rooted/mezzed mobs. It’s cheap but even a minor debuff helps mez/root not break early. Situationally I’ll swap out cheap malo for unresistable malo if there’s a big mob. On my mage I do the same thing with the exception that I will frequently use the small cheap malo before I drop mana intensive nuke bombs on a target that may resist. I rarely ever malod when soloing for xp.
