Default Debugger?

I have tried to run the game several times now and keep getting an error telling me it won't run with a debugger running. As far as I know, I do not have a debugger running. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you in advance.

Found out... fucking anti-virus was cockblocking me... turn that shit off or allow p99 folder to go undetected and you are golden.

I just had this issue -- I updated AVAST antivirus last night.

I put it in passive mode, restarted my machine and it was working again.

EDIT: After going passive, I could launch the game, but could not connect to any servers.

EDIT 2: Uninstalled AVAST as its not as awesome as it was in the past, and I finally have a concrete reason for removing it. Switching to Avira.

Open avast ui > settings > general > exclusions and add the whole p99 folder to file path.

AVG was keeping me out. Had to make exception for the EverQuest folder.
