Default Iksar tanks in Kunark - best mitigation race despite lack of plate?

Iksar get a decent innate AC bonus which scales with level. That's great, but the problem is that they can't use juicy plate armor until Velious. I've also read that Iksar get a higher AC softcap (reference thread) - not sure if there's any truth to that, but hey.

So... with all that in mind, can Iksar come out on top in terms of mitigation despite lack of access to cobalt armor in Kunark?

I can't imagine why anyone would actually use Warrior tanks on Green for 30 second fights and no clicky threat. But anyway,

http://wiki.project1999.com/Magelo_Blue:Hitme

It will be some 100-150 displayed AC. My personal experience was that Sakuragi (roughly equivalent to Hakata) was a noticeably inferior tank to Bobbarker (full cobalt). Most people who haven't parsed will tell you AC doesn't matter, though.

Haha. I didn't mention any classes since Iksar can also be SK, and besides - a lot of higher level Kunark mobs in groups and raid settings have big HP pools. As an aside, I guarantee you that warriors will be main tanking Kunark raid content. The notion that hybrids continue to rule the roost into the expansion is a wee tad farcical.

Iksar SK were a bit better on Blue during Kunark because they could use the Will of Innoruuk BP, but I guess on Green the SK epic will come out only just before Velious.

Why? Kunark bosses all have 32,000 HP and massive AE damage, making them fast burn fights just like Classic. I don't play on Green so I don't know what people actually do, but I can't think of a good reason to let warriors tank anything other than maintaining their morale until Velious.

Could be argued an iksar warrior doesn't need to use a cobalt bracer...... because, you know..... not fat like ogres and trolls.

Can't use Cobalt Invis clicky or the BP invis from Chardok either. Seems pretty useful for getting around as a Warrior.
