Default Where are the new people?

Ive been saving up some low end items to give away to new players, but I cant find any. Every low level I track and stalk ends up being a twinked alt. Was going to try and surprise someone with some items, but its been more difficult than I thought it would be

None of its worth much or anything at all, but most of it has some stats that could be nice for someone starting out. If any of the below items could be useful to you, reply or PM me. Everything is free

Items with Strength:

Dented Brass Mask

Bracer of Erollisi
Wolf-Hide Sleeves
White Wolf-hide Cloak

AC Items:

Cold Iron Pauldrons
Cold Iron Graves

Items with Wisdom:

Etched Ivory Charm
Idol of Woven Grass

Bracer of Forlorn

Items with Intellect:

Cloak of the Forlorn

Items with Charisma:

Noble's Robes

Good places to go are Gfay. I've done a few give-always near Kelethin bank and over 20 fresh players have shown up to win prizes.

They exist, but they can be hard to find sometimes. One thing you can try is just asking in noobie zones, ie. /ooc anyone here new to the server? let me know if you have any questions.

Alternatively you can also do a "honey pot" auction, eg. WTS Adamantine Bo Stick 5p. Any alts will already have something better (plus their players will know the bo stick is a trash drop), but the truly new players with only 12 plat and a rusty stick to their name will want to buy it. When they try you can just give it to them, along with other gear, for free.

One other idea is to do quests. If you offer 100p to anyone who brings you a 10x spider legs in the next hour, most alts won't bother (and the ones that do are probably poor and could use a donation anyway), but to a truly new player 100p is a lot of plat so you'll see them killing every spider in sight to try and get it.

Thanks for the good suggestions, most of the above places mentioned I didnt try. Sometimes forget about them places on the far end of the world.. Halas, Qeynos, Surefall, etc.

I'll wait and see if anyone coming to the forums is interested in anything first

Sometimes I go to far off places like Utenan mentioned just to see if any lowbies want ports to WC to be around an easier leveling area.

I see many ungeared players in Gfay area, and less commonly players leveling in Everfrost. These usually are actual new players because most twinks leave Halas asap to find easier places to XP.

In my experience players in the Qeynos to Halas areas tend to be the newest in game.

I’m not a noob, necessarily, but I play super casually between a few characters. My highest correctly is a 22 Rogue. Looking at his equipment, you’d think he was a little twinked, but I just worked hard getting gear and playing the economy.

My point is that it’s relatively easy to get some gear as a lowbie, but the help you provide is definitely appreciated!
